BAUHAUS CENTRUM AVION BRNO is organizing: a unique opening of a talented painter from Iran. Zeinab (Sára) Elyasi, was born in 1984 in Tehran, Iran. She has a master's degree in painting, University of Science and Culture, Tehran. She is studying Visual Culture and Art History at Masaryk University in Brno. Come immerse yourself in her works and experience art that speaks to the heart.

‘Phantom Pain’ Exhibition

- Phantom pain is the feeling of pain in a part of the body that no longer exists, like a limb lost to amputation.

For me, it becomes a metaphor. After every separation - migration, leaving home, losing a love - I feel the weight of absences that remain present within me.

There are voids that nothing can fill:

Iran, Mom, Dad, Samira, Fatemeh, Masi, my friends, him…

All these absences stay with me and leave their trace - like the black lines running through the colors of this series.
